Dr. Richard Della Penna

Fred Rodriguez, Jr. MD, MASCP, FCAP, is the Emma Sadler Moss Professor of Pathology at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. From 1984-2014 he served as Chief of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System. From 2002 until 2008, he served as National Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Dr. Della Penna was a physician with Kaiser Permanente from 1977-2009.  He held positions of Medical Director of the Kaiser Permanente Aging Network and the National Clinical Lead for Elder and Palliative Care. In these roles Dr. Della Penna collaborated with clinical care leaders to improve the care of Kaiser’s nearly one million older adult members. Today he is the Chief Medical Officer for Independa, a technology company based in San Diego.

Mr. Orenstein founded Dallas-based

International Wine Accessories in 1983. With annual sales of $20M and a customer base of 124K, he sold his firm to Beringer Blass Wine Estates, a division of Fosters Group of Australia in 2001 for $18M. Mr. Orenstein and his management team remained with the company for three years post acquisition. 

Mr. Crownover is the President and CEO of Texas Nameplate. This family-owned business located in Dallas manufactures industrial name plates and identification tags and earned a patent in 2013 for its innovative chemical etching process. The smallest business ever to receive a Baldrige Award, Texas Nameplate is also the only small business to receive the Baldrige Award twice, first in 1998 then again in 2004. Mr. Crownover served on the board of the Baldrige Foundation from 2002-2005 and as its chairman, 2004-2005.​

Mrs. Fox is a CPA and co-founder of Mir, Fox, Rodriguez PC, a company that grew to be the largest minority-owned public accounting firm in the state of Texas. In 2012, MFR PC, the 11th largest certified public accounting firm in Houston, merged with Troy, Mich.-based accounting firm Doeren Mayhew PC, retaining its name over the merged entity. Ms. Fox retired to full time volunteer work in 2005.
